Hair loss woman can stem from many causes. The condition is known as ‘alopecia’ in medical terms and is generally categorized into two major types – scarring alopecia and non-scarring alopecia. The former causes inflammation and fibrosis of the skin and associated damage or loss of the surrounding follicles. With the latter, the follicles remain intact and there are no symptoms of skin inflammation or fibrosis, although there is considerable hair loss.

Fortunately, there are some excellent baldness treatment options available today to treat hair loss in women. The most effective and widely sought measure is surgical hair restoration , or hair transplant surgery, as it is better known. Hair transplantation is a minor surgical procedure confined to the skin, usually performed under local anesthesia with very few complications. Thanks to all the recent advancements in medical technology and continuing research into the causes and cures for hair loss, hair transplant surgery has not only become more effective and powerful, but also a lot safer.
